China Approves Viptera Trait for Import

On December 17, 2014, Syngenta has announced that Chinese regulatory authorities have granted import approval for the Agrisure Viptera® trait (Event MIR162).

The Agrisure Viptera® trait provides corn producers with a broad spectrum of above-ground insect control.  The trait was legally approved by the USDA to plant in the U.S. in 2010, and hybrids containing the Agrisure Viptera® trait have been sold, planted and the grain from them exported on a broad basis in multiple countries since 2011.
